The 10-dollar Eagle gold coin is one of the most emblematic coins in the United States. First minted in 1795, this historic coin was issued until 1933. It contains 0.48375 troy ounces of pure gold (approximately 15.04 grams) and has a diameter of 27 mm.
VAT: Gold (and additional services such as delivery, certificate of authenticity, etc.) is exempt from value added tax (VAT) in Switzerland and the European Union.
Silver (and additional services such as delivery, certificate of authenticity, etc.) is taxed at 8,1% in Switzerland, whether ingots or coins. In some European countries, the VAT rate is lower for coins than for ingots. In other European countries it is identical. In France, for example, the same rate applies to silver ingots and coins. If delivery is in Switzerland, Swiss VAT applies to silver (but gold is exempt). If delivery is to outside Switzerland, the customs duties and VAT of the destination country apply and must be paid by the recipient upon receiving the parcel.
